About The Position

The Regional Senior Inventory Manager at the Company is pivotal in optimizing inventory management and driving superior performance across designated geographic regions or product lines for the Company's Business Customers. This role is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team, collaborating extensively with field leadership and supplier relations to manage replenishment and purchasing strategies that align with the company's revenue and EBITDA objectives. By leveraging advanced analytics and fostering strategic initiatives in supply chain management, the Regional Senior Inventory Manager ensures that inventory control procedures meet expected levels, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the growth trajectory of the Company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; a focus in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as an inventory manager or equivalent role, with a proven track record of managing inventory control processes effectively.
  • Extensive leadership experience, showing capability in leading both direct and indirect teams to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, or equivalent analytical tools, to create and interpret complex data models and reports.
  • Familiarity with Agility Software is considered an asset, although not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to swiftly assimilate data points and deliver actionable insights and recommendations to drive inventory management effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide strategic inventory management practices and optimize vendor relationships.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including field leadership, supplier relations, and FP&A teams.
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, and building high-performing teams through thoughtful recruitment and succession planning.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying issues and proposing innovative solutions to enhance inventory control and replenishment processes.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, approximately 20-30% of the time, within the assigned region.
  • Capability to operate efficiently in both a home office setting and regional branch office environments.

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in inventory management, supply chain, or related fields, showcasing progressive responsibilities and leadership capabilities in complex and dynamic environments.
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the implementation of effective inventory control procedures to achieve optimal inventory levels and turns, working in partnership with regional leadership to develop and refine inventory goals and promptly address any identified issues.
  • Strategically guide and support teams in establishing and regularly reviewing purchase order parameters, ensuring the efficient transfer of products between locations, addressing stock shortages, and minimizing slow-moving and obsolete inventory to enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools and methodologies to provide actionable insights to field leadership, identifying opportunities to improve inventory management and enhance operational effectiveness across various metrics, including days on hand and obsolete stock reduction.
  • Spearhead initiatives and projects focused on advancing inventory replenishment objectives, including the enhancement of ERP systems and reporting tools, to streamline processes and support sustainable supply chain improvements.
  • Engage in both short-term and long-term supply chain initiatives that align with organizational objectives, driving projects that promote operational excellence and contribute to the overall growth and efficiency of the supply chain infrastructure.
  • Cultivate a high-performing inventory management team through strategic recruitment, talent development, and the implementation of productivity standards, with a focus on aligning team assignments with individual strengths and opportunities for growth.
