About The Position

The Regional Security Manager supports local sites in and near Atlanta, Georgia remotely 50% of the time and travels the remaining 50% to support sites in Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Puerto Rico. The role assists with the development, planning, and coordination of security standards and investigations across an assigned region or business unit. It investigates suspected violations such as theft, fraud, and threats; gathers information from suspects and witnesses; documents incidents; and develops action plans to resolve them. The manager provides oversight, guidance, and training to site operations staff and Security Nominees. The role conducts investigations, security audits and assessments, awareness training, and follow-up on corrective actions. It advises local management and procurement on security best practices, coordinates security-related strategies, and works with internal departments, customers, and law enforcement to support loss prevention and compliance. The position also manages incident-management tool queues, supports security program assessments and certification, and participates in assigned initiatives and task forces. Requirements

High school diploma and/or GED.
At least 1 year of security, loss prevention, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
At least 1 year of experience conducting dishonest employee interviews.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a security environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct and manage security-related investigations across assigned locations, coordinating with customer security representatives, Human Resources, Legal, Labor Relations, and law enforcement as applicable.
Gather information from suspects and witnesses, prepare formal incident documentation and reports, and develop action plans for resolution.
Perform security audits and assessments to identify lapses and risks; assist Security Nominees with risk classifications and self-assessments.
Conduct security awareness, standards, and Security Nominee training across the assigned geography or business unit.
Advise local management and procurement on industry best practices for manned guarding and physical security, including new start-up accounts, retrofits, and extensions.
Coordinate security strategies and solutions with management for matters within the assigned geography or business unit.
Coordinate completion of KPIs by local management for Preferred Guard Service Providers.
Identify security gaps, advise management on corrective actions, and monitor completion in coordination with local management and/or customers.
Manage the Incident Management tool queue to ensure compliance, and counsel and train Operations on use of the tools.
Maintain knowledge of investigative and interviewing techniques and procedures, and build positive relationships with law enforcement and corporate security representatives.
Participate in regional Cargo Task Forces and related security organizations.
Assist in developing or modifying policies and procedures in response to industry trends in theft or fraud to reduce company and site exposure.
Provide oversight, guidance, and training to site operational staff and Security Nominees.
Partner with Claims, Procurement, OE, Communications, Legal, HR, Labor Relations, and other departments to develop strategies and processes, communicate with the field, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Perform 6 Steps to Security Excellence assessments and follow up to support program certification.
Participate in assigned initiatives and task forces, and perform other duties as assigned.
