About The Position

R+L Carriers is hiring a Regional Security Manager for its Jacksonville, Florida Service Center. The role leads security across the Southeast Region, including investigations, security assessments, travel to select locations, collaboration with business partners, and identification of security vulnerabilities. The manager also conducts active violence response training and works with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with various shifts and approximately 50% travel. Compensation is $75,000–$85,000. The posting states that a related bachelor’s degree is preferred; applicants without a degree may qualify with a high school diploma or GED and five years of relevant experience.

Requirements

• At least five years of management experience in investigations or a security-related field.
• Comprehensive understanding of CCTV and remote viewing systems.
• Ability to react effectively to high-stress situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to self-start, prioritize, and multitask.
• Familiarity with Windows, multiple browsers, Windows navigation, and instant messaging tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• A related bachelor’s degree is preferred; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED and five years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, or information systems security.
• Experience performing security or vulnerability reviews.
• Security experience in the transportation industry.
• Wicklander-Zulawski certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead security investigations throughout the Southeast Region.
• Foster and maintain effective partnerships with key business leaders.
• Assess potential security- and safety-related issues and address them appropriately.
• Conduct security assessments at R+L Carriers locations and follow up on action plans.
• Conduct active violence response training.
• Work closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
• Comply with company security, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
• Travel to selected locations as needed.
