About The Position

Meridian Adhesives Group's Packaging Division (Evans Adhesives) is seeking a Regional Sales Representative for the Southeast United States. This role involves managing, growing, and maintaining an assigned sales territory. The position offers an opportunity to make a mark in a dynamic sales function within an exciting and fast-growing company that specializes in adhesive technologies for various applications.

Requirements

  • Eight to ten years in manufacturing sales or related market space.
  • Good technical adhesive knowledge and can communicate adhesive issues to the Evans lab and manufacturing when needed.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales objectives.
  • Proven ability to secure new business.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possesses the ability to communicate the Evans Value Proposition.
  • Positive attitude and works well with other team members.
  • Possesses the ability to negotiate customer contracts.
  • Self-confidence and self-starter.
  • Product knowledge understands packaging adhesives which includes hot melts and water-based products.
  • Good computer skills including Excel and Power Point.
  • Has the ability to present professionally to existing and potential customers.

Responsibilities

  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on current and potential accounts.
  • Adjusts content of sales presentations by analyzing the type of customer.
  • Keeping management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses and budgets.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to customers based on lab recommendations.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
