About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager develops and executes strategic plans to maximize business opportunities through independent insurance agencies in the assigned Eastern Iowa territory. It also evaluates agency performance and monitors the Partners in Excellence program. This fully remote, work-from-home role requires the associate to live within the Eastern Iowa territory and spend 50% of their time in the field. Occasional travel to an office for team meetings, training, and corporate events may be requested, as may overnight travel as needed. The manager generates new business by prospecting and appointing agencies, building productive partnerships, and working with the sales team to meet or exceed territory sales targets. The role serves as a primary point of contact for agents, provides product and service information, resolves inquiries and concerns, and maintains relationships with agents, underwriters, and other stakeholders. It collaborates with underwriting teams, shares territory insights to support underwriting decisions, and tracks agency issues to identify training or service gaps. The role monitors territory performance, prepares reports on key metrics and market trends, and provides feedback to Sales and Underwriting leadership. It also creates and delivers agency training, sales programs, promotions, events, and other activities—using teleconferences, webinars, and social media—to support agents’ sales and profit improvement efforts. The salary range is $100,000–$125,000. Actual base pay depends on factors including job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographic location, and internal equity.
