Progress creates a career opportunity in the Saskatchewan region Regional Sales Manager (Commercial) Reporting to the Commercial Building Product Manager, we’re seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our highly skilled Commercial team. You will use superior strategic business sense to maximize sales profitability and return on capital from business opportunities for the Saskatchewan region. You will maintain long-term relationships with established dealers and contractors and continue the development of our dealer network ensuring that they have what they need to be successful. You will work closely with all departments to ensure a team atmosphere approach to sales and service.

Requirements

  • University degree or diploma in related field, or completion of a technical trade - equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of five years of outside sales experience preferred, combination of inside and outside sales experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum three years of experience in the construction or related industry is a significant asset.
  • Masterful customer service, decision-making, strategic planning and implementation skills.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
  • Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects.
  • Frequent travel with the assigned region is required along with infrequent travel outside of the region.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize sales profitability and return on capital from business opportunities for the Saskatchewan region.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with established dealers and contractors.
  • Continue the development of our dealer network ensuring that they have what they need to be successful.
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure a team atmosphere approach to sales and service.
  • Develop forecasts, reports and budgets, track performance while explaining variances against plan, identify risks and opportunities, drive strategic business initiatives to achieve profitability and working capital goals.
