Valmet is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to enhance its Automation Systems growth, focusing on the Pulp and Paper Industry in the Western USA and Canada region. The role involves being a key player in developing Automation Sales within this sector, with the flexibility to work from a home office or an office seat in one of Valmet's locations. Requirements

Extensive background and proven experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry.
Strong sales mindset and capability to work with customers on many levels.
Seasoned in working within a matrix organization.
Exceptional adaptability and the capability to excel in an independent sales role.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel within the designated territory, with occasional support provided to other areas as required.
A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Ensure the successful development of Automation Sales in the Pulp and Paper Industry.
Have direct sales responsibility to customers.
Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to target and acquire customers within the Pulp and Paper Industry.
Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to reach sales targets.
Utilize thorough market research to identify business opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends and competitive activities.
Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to deliver top-notch technical support and customized solutions.
Provide regular reports on sales activities.
Bring market insights and customer feedback to the product group and R&D to further develop industry-specific winning concepts.
