About The Position

The company, a recognized leader in heavy equipment rental across California, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow a high-performing sales organization across Southern and Central California. The role oversees more than 20 Rental Sales Representatives across nine locations, from Fresno to Indio. The Regional Sales Manager sets territory strategy, elevates sales performance, drives profitability, and delivers a strong customer experience. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced rental-industry professional to shape the region and support the company’s growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 10 years of experience in the heavy equipment rental industry.
• Demonstrated success leading high-performing sales teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction equipment and rental market dynamics.
• Must reside within commuting distance of the Los Angeles/Inland Empire region.
• Willingness to travel throughout the territory, including occasional overnight travel, up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement sales strategies to expand market share, accelerate growth, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Coach, mentor, and motivate a team of more than 20 rental sales representatives through performance management, ride-alongs, and structured development programs.
• Monitor sales metrics, promote CRM adoption, enforce accountability, and cultivate a results-driven culture.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and other divisions to maximize opportunities and deliver cohesive customer value.
• Use industry data and analytics to identify trends, guide rental fleet planning, and maintain competitive positioning.
