About The Position

The company, a recognized leader in heavy equipment rental across California, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow its sales organization across Southern and Central California. The role oversees more than 20 Rental Sales Representatives across 9 locations, from Fresno to Indio. The manager will set the strategic direction for the territory, elevate sales performance, and drive profitability while delivering a strong customer experience. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced rental industry professional to shape the region, develop the sales team, and support the company’s growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 10 years of experience in the heavy equipment rental industry.
• Demonstrated success leading high-performing sales teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction equipment and rental market dynamics.
• Must reside within commuting distance of the Los Angeles/Inland Empire region.
• Willingness to travel throughout the territory, including occasional overnight travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to expand market share, accelerate growth, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Coach, mentor, and motivate a team of more than 20 rental sales representatives through performance management, ride-alongs, and structured development programs.
• Monitor sales metrics, promote CRM adoption, enforce accountability, and foster a results-driven culture.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and other divisions to maximize opportunities and deliver cohesive customer value.
• Use industry data and analytics to identify trends, guide rental fleet planning, and maintain competitive positioning.
