Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, finance, engineering, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of successful B2B sales, account management, territory management, business development, industrial distribution, branch leadership, customer-facing team leadership, or related commercial experience.
  • Strong understanding of customer relationships, follow-up discipline, sales activity, service execution, and basic business results such as sales growth, gross profit, customer retention, and account expansion.
  • Ability to coach people, set expectations, inspect progress, give direct feedback, and hold team members accountable.
  • Ability to learn technical products, applications, pricing, vendor programs, and customer-use cases.
  • Experience using CRM, business systems, reporting tools, pipeline management, forecast management, account planning, or structured follow-up processes.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work across sales, operations, customer service, and vendor partners.
  • Ability to organize competing priorities across multiple locations, territories, customers, and Account Managers.
  • Valid driver’s license that meets company driving requirements.
  • Experience in industrial gases, welding equipment and supplies, safety/PPE, specialty gases, bulk gases, medical gases, vending/VMI, technical products, manufacturing supply, construction supply, agriculture supply, rental equipment, or industrial distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises assigned Account Managers.
  • Responsible for regional sales performance, profitable growth, customer retention, business development, pipeline quality, forecast accuracy, and consistent use of the company sales process.
  • Works closely with customer service, operations, product specialists, warehouse and logistics teams, sales support, and vendor partners.
