Under general direction of the VP Sales, the Regional Sales Manager oversees operation of distributors within an assigned territory to get maximum exposure of Company products to potential customers. The Regional Sales Manager provides directional leadership to their respective distributor principal's.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with marketing department to provide training for distributor personnel to improve their knowledge of the products.
  • Provide leadership to development of annual Sales Plans, execution for those plans, monitoring of plans, and facilitate execution of penetration plans within the regions.
  • Maintains sales management data in Salesforce to be used for assessing risk in sales plan, understanding new customer penetration, and contributing to a national view of the sales funnel.
  • Monitors each distributor’s effectiveness relative to potential effectiveness of other distributors and effectiveness of competitors in the territory.
  • Motivate distributors. Recommend changes to them.
  • Initiate effective sales programs and coordinate the efforts of Product Managers with Distributor personnel to implement and execute the programs. Function as liaison between distributors and home office.
  • Monitor financial activity of Distributors and assist in collecting money due the company.
  • Supervise clerical functions in regional office and maintain proper records.
