Requirements

  • Prior supervisory or management responsibility preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, ideally within heavy equipment or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of local market conditions, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
  • Strong coaching, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and develop team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and sales performance metrics.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%, with overnight stays, frequency may vary based on regional and business needs.
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the regional Vermeer sales team, motivating and managing performance to achieve company objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor strategic sales plans, forecasts, budgets, and benchmarks aligned with organizational goals.
  • Coach sales professionals on prospecting, closing, territory management, product knowledge, and profitability.
  • Partner with customers and internal teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience and resolve concerns effectively.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturer Representatives to maximize product understanding, program utilization, and market share growth.
  • Monitor sales operations activities, including reporting, inventory and asset management, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and engaged team environment, while leading communication efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
