About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager - Midwest position is with Springs Window Fashions, North America's premier window covering company. This role is part of the dealer sales team, which focuses on growing sales profitably and building long-term customer relationships. The Regional Sales Manager will provide technical support and expertise to independent dealers across a region, acting as the main point of contact after orders are entered and fulfilled. This position offers an opportunity to connect with and support customers, and to drive business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or similar strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years professional sales experience is required
  • Minimum of 3 years sales management experience is required
  • Experience should involve selling consumer products, preferably to independent dealer customers
  • Experience with a custom product is preferred
  • Willing to travel (overnight travel) 30-40%

Responsibilities

  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Provide feedback and advice to Customer Service, Operations, manufacturing, and accounting for continuous improvement toward customer satisfaction.
  • Direct prospecting activities in each territory, including executing cold call requirements/campaigns and new customer acquisition strategies.
  • Prepare sales budgets and approve sales budget expenditures.
  • Manage and develop 8-17 sales Territory Managers, including hiring, training, development, and performance management.
  • Provide guidance to Territory Managers' activities and direct their actions for optimal market/customer coverage.
  • Ensure all Territory Managers meet or exceed activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, and sales closes.
  • Conduct regular coaching and performance evaluations with Territory Managers to build motivation and selling skills.
  • Stay current on industry trends and customer preferences to determine sales focus.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of competitive programs, including product pricing and comparison to the corporate program.
  • Monitor activities to ensure actions are within the established scope of job description and responsibilities, and initiate disciplinary actions when appropriate.
  • Prepare monthly business review summaries.
  • Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
