This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in Colorado, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico or Arizona. Regular travel of approximately 50% is required to support locations and business operations across a multi-state region. The Regional Safety Manager will be responsible to lead and manage the efforts to promote safe and compliant practices within our Corporate Health & Safety Dept. In the field of Construction, the Regional Safety Manager will be focused on providing safety expertise along with risk recognition/reduction skill, driving the goal of “Zero Accidents or injuries” through a proactive, safe work practice that utilizes prevention and mitigation techniques when assessing potential risks. Key traits for the individual in this position are: highly developed communication skills, team player, trainer, strategic and creative, excellent project management skills and the ability to drive performance from all areas within the company. One position available to support a multi-state territory. Candidates must reside in CO, UT, NV, NM or AZ, with a strong preference for candidates located in Colorado or Utah.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- 5+ Years’ Experience
- Experience with OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations and safety administration in a transportation, construction, distribution, general industry or warehousing environment.
- Proficient in OSHA & EPA Regulations, State and Federal laws.
- Proficient knowledge in all Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
- Must reside in CO, UT, AZ, NM or NV.
- Available to travel up to 50% throughout a designated multi-state territory.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage efforts to promote safe and compliant practices within the Corporate Health & Safety Dept.
- Provide safety expertise and risk recognition/reduction skills in the construction field.
- Drive the goal of “Zero Accidents or injuries” through proactive, safe work practices utilizing prevention and mitigation techniques.
- Maintain current knowledge of safety trends and practices in the industry to adapt to changing safety environment.
- Identify and implement company best practices to create standards for continuous improvement of safety practices.
- Manage safety region to eliminate occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety training programs related to occupational injuries in the construction/manufacturing industry.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to exposure factors concerning occupational illnesses and/or accidents and prepare reports.
- Act with a sense of fiduciary responsibility.
- Prepare incident reports for regions and work with operations on dissemination, review, and recommended actions.
- Compile and submit reports required by company management and regulatory agencies (OSHA), including Ad Hoc reporting.
- Perform comprehensive EHS facility and field audits.
- Create corrective action plans based on audit findings and partner with operations for deliverables.
- Facilitate timely completion and closure of corrective action plans.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on all corporate and governmental regulatory issues within the assigned region.
- Conduct and facilitate field and facility safety meetings and training.
- Train and develop regional resources on overall Construction Safety.
- Investigate injuries and incidents and develop root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Document all Injury and Incident Scenarios and Causes in the company EHS information system.
- Communicate Injury and Incident Scenarios, along with Root and Contributing Causes, to the organization to facilitate proactive injury and incident avoidance activity.
- Manage OSHA citations and investigations within the assigned region.
- Analyze metrics and review monthly incidents to understand trends and align resources to focus on key areas.
- Audit data collection and reporting practices to confirm compliance with federal and state regulations.
Benefits
- Compensation offered is highly dependent on qualifications, certifications, skills and experience.
- Compensation Range: $90,000.00 - $135,000.00
- This position may also offer variable compensation.
