Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or distribution leadership within a multi-site environment
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience with a strong track record of developing teams
  • 3+ years of experience managing managers and leading through others
  • Proven ability to drive operational improvements, implement change, and deliver measurable results
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze data and translate insights into action
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in wholesale distribution, electrical, or industrial supply environments
  • Familiarity with sales/counter operations and customer-facing service models
  • Knowledge of Viking Electric systems, processes, products, and regional markets

Responsibilities

  • Lead all regional operations including counters, warehouses, transportation, inventory management, and material handling, ensuring high performance, scalability, and operational excellence
  • Champion a strong safety culture by partnering with Safety and Compliance leadership and ensuring adherence to OSHA, DOT, and company standards
  • Develop and mentor Operations Managers by hiring, coaching, and building high-performing teams; partner with local leadership and HR on workforce planning and talent development initiatives
  • Identify and implement process improvements, technology solutions, and best practices to enhance efficiency, consistency, and accuracy across the network
  • Collaborate closely with Sales leadership to deliver a seamless customer experience while balancing cost-to-serve and profitability
  • Leverage data and analytics to monitor performance, optimize staffing, and drive continuous improvement in warehouse and transportation operations
