About The Position

Hope Media Group is a multi-brand ministry dedicated to engaging people to love Jesus, serve others, and spread Hope through various media platforms. The Regional Operations Director position is based in New Caney, TX (Greater Houston Metro) and is an onsite role. The team environment is described as fun, encouraging, collaborative, engaging, caring, family-oriented, and friendly. This role is crucial for keeping the ministry's signals on the air and ensuring the on-air sound, including imaging, music, and spot scheduling & production, meets company standards. The position also involves network programming coordination, industry event attendance, web and IT duties, fund drive execution, and ensuring compliance with EAS and FCC regulations.

Requirements

5 years of broadcasting experience.
Excellent organizational skills.
Highly motivated team player capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Audio production skills and use of Adobe Audition or similar audio editing software.
Computer experience including Microsoft Office, Google-Suite, and Apple.
Prior radio and radio automation experience.
Experience with Natural Log, Zetta, Adobe Audition and Photoshop.
Experience with FTP or similar file transfer protocol software.
Ability to work independently and/or work well within a team.
Excellent written and verbal skills and organization skills.
Attentive to detail and able to handle multiple tasks at once.
General Knowledge operating audio sound board.
Valid Driver’s License.
Heart for Christian ministry.
Strong moral character.
Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Spiritually grounded and working knowledge of scripture.
Must be an active member of a Bible believing local church.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in arts in Communications discipline.

Responsibilities

Execute the local implementation of the WayFM format to maximize audience size, business and donor revenue and ministry impact.
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of station automation, satellite/internet audio delivery systems, and scheduling systems, providing troubleshooting and solutions for common problems.
Serve as a primary contact for station audio emergencies.
Implement Pre, During, and Post severe weather protocols.
Oversee station imaging in coordination with the Network Content Director.
Ensure signals remain on the air and respond to off-air alarms.
Execute all aspects of production, ensuring quality that reflects company standards, including station promos, imaging, and underwriting announcements.
Monitor all signals for quality and accuracy of content.
Maintain communication with the Reg. Engineer on all RF issues.
Maintain FCC compliance for all signals.
Assist Traffic Services to ensure spots are loaded into the automation system in a timely manner.
Assist with Chief Operator duties, including weekly EAS logs, system inspection, online public file maintenance, and other FCC compliance tasks.
Run reports as needed for National operations.
Keep VP of Operations informed of all station technical, programming, production, and promotion issues.
Assist with the execution of Support Drive on-air fundraisers and take Phone Zone calls as needed.
Work with the Director of Traffic Services implementing local logs and reports.
Responsible for the daily generation and reconciliation of logs for all assigned stations.
Work with local BDD on inputting new clients and schedules into Natural Log.
Work with Director of Promotions implementing national promotions.
Pro-actively offer ideas and execute the development and implementation of targeted, strategic, and effective promotions and on-air contesting.
Participate in on-air fundraisers and pray for donors as needed.
Attend and participate in regular staff meetings and training.
