About The Position

This position pays $96,500. Annually plus a company car - this is a remote opportunity based anywhere in California. Potters has grown into a $400 million global business with approximately 900 employees contributing to our success every day in 30 production facilities located in 14 countries around the world.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Science – Technical degree
  • 1-4 years sales experience (value added) with proven success record
  • Direct sales experience (four years) to OEMs, contractors, distributors, government agencies
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to operate independently, establish and re-adjust priorities on a continual basis.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Knowledge of territory geography is highly desirable
  • Individual must be able to adapt to a wide array of customer types and customer job functions.
  • Strong customer service as well as problem solving orientation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills.
  • Personable individual, professional with technical selling skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with city, county, municipal transportation officials, engineers public works departments, and purchasing personnel.
  • Work directly with agencies and consultants to promote updates and improvements to pavement marking specifications involving glass beads, road marking paint, and related roadway safety materials.
  • Identify upcoming roadway, airport, and infrastructure projects within the region.
  • Routinely communicate market activities and conditions to appropriate Potter personnel.
  • Make organized and effective sales/technical presentations on products to satisfy customer needs.
