About The Position

The Regional Membership Sales Manager oversees a small and growing team of Membership specialists who are responsible for meeting and exceeding Thousand Trails private campground membership sales goals across multiple properties in an assigned region.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with sales, preferably in the hospitality, club membership or travel industry, and the ability to achieve sales goals.
  • Excellent communications, leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to recruit, hire, manage and mentor a small sales team.
  • Dynamic leadership and interpersonal skills, including coaching and facilitation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and cloud-based software programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel up to 15-20% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with membership and operations teams on a regular basis to identify leads and guide sales processes.
  • Train and mentor employees to ensure that appropriate sales activities are implemented at each property.
  • Maintain responsibility for monthly sales goals.
  • Recruit, onboard and train new membership specialists.
  • Lead weekly conference calls to review accolades and recognition, sharing of best practices, arrival strategies, current sales performance, lists of prospective leads and training on company initiatives and policies.
  • Participate in weekly regional operations conference calls to review leads, current performance, team recognition and upcoming activities and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement field sales processes: lead capture and follow-up; appointment scheduling; professional presentation of products and promotional offers; building awareness through marketing flyers, posters, signs and banners; maintenance of game plans, “hot lists” and the ambassador lead tracker; and accurate corporate reporting.
  • Visit properties on a regular basis to do property sales audits; participate in resort operations staff meetings; answer questions, address concerns, reinforce processes and provide recognition; and ensure adequate inventory of flyers and display of signage.
  • Assist staff to plan and execute regional sales campaigns.
  • Collaborate with resort operations managers, staff and corporate associates to ensure compliant reporting and conclusion of all documents to complete sales transactions.
  • Encourage a team approach to achieve sales targets, partnering with area coordinators, resort operations managers and other resort staff.
