About The Position

Our vision for BDPI at BD Our Peripheral Intervention (PI) business unit offers a comprehensive range of medical products, devices and services for the treatment of peripheral arterial and venous disease, cancer detection, and end-stage renal disease and maintenance. Summary of Position with General Responsibilities: As a Regional Manager, you will achieve sales objectives in line with the marketing plan through effective management of personnel and resources.

Requirements

• Knowledge of hospital buying practices and key influences.
• Working knowledge of management by objectives.
• Ability to direct sales representatives to achieve corporate goals.
• Ability to get things done through others.
• Ability to evaluate personnel performance.
• Ability to counsel and coach sales personnel.
• Knowledge of medical products distribution systems.
• Ability to travel 50-75% of the time within the region.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Five years of outside medical sales experience or equivalency.
• Demonstrated human relations and communication skills.
• Proven top 20% sales performance in multiple years.
• Successful proven track record of leading people and/or teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement, direct, and control district sales activities.
• Recommend, implement, and promote contests and other incentive programs.
• Recruit, interview, and select sales and clinical personnel.
• Develop district personnel to assume increased responsibilities.
• Operate a district sales office and maintain pertinent records.
• Plan and conduct district sales meetings.
• Communicate with the Area Vice President of Sales on pricing, product acceptance, industry/competitive trends, and marketing strategies.
• Travel with sales associates and clinical specialists within the geography on a weekly basis.
• Recommend changes in compensation for district employees.
