About The Position

Ferguson is seeking a Regional Logistics Manager to optimize distribution operations across multiple locations in its Plains Region. The role oversees transportation logistics, inventory control, and process improvements to support efficient, cost-effective, high-performing regional operations. The manager develops and implements warehousing strategy, ensures warehousing services are safe, reliable, compliant, and efficient, and supports product availability through collaboration with procurement, suppliers, and distribution centers. The position also leads facility optimization and space-planning projects and develops warehouse leadership associates across the region.

Requirements

Degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
At least 8 years of demonstrated leadership experience in a big-box operating environment, including a salaried workforce in manufacturing, production, or distribution.
Strong e-commerce fulfillment experience, including direct-to-consumer operations.
Extensive experience with automated WMS and TMS systems and other mechanized processes.
Excellent proactive communication skills with all levels of management and staff.
Experience with activity-based performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean thinking, with a track record of delivering strong operational performance.
Proven ability to use data to influence and drive positive performance and behavioral outcomes.
Ability to collaborate with business leaders and peers to anticipate, identify, recommend, and implement creative operational and customer-service solutions.
A decisive, fair, and consistent approach to associate communication and interaction.
Strong customer-service orientation and ability to drive customer solutions through a collaborative, relational style.

Responsibilities

Complete the warehousing strategy for the assigned Region to support materials management needs, ensuring services are safe, reliable, compliant, and efficient and that contracts are followed and operational risks reduced.
Collaborate with procurement, suppliers, and distribution centers to ensure product availability.
Ensure warehousing activities comply with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations; monitor sites for conformance; report accidents and incidents; and ensure preventive and mitigating actions are completed.
Establish and monitor metrics for warehousing performance and lead or support projects that improve warehousing operations.
Track and analyze freight performance, delivery benchmarks, and vendor and carrier compliance.
Recommend policies and programs that help maintain and improve the organization’s competitive position and regional operational profitability.
Ensure location safety and security in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson policies, procedures, and regulations.
Continue learning about new operating methods and information technology affecting distribution operations and safety.
Implement technology solutions that improve visibility, tracking, and reporting.
Follow company compliance and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements.
Lead facility optimization and space-planning projects.
Develop current and future warehouse leadership associates across the region.
