About The Position

The Regional General Manager is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Director of Operations of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast. This role serves as a senior leader within the organization, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, 21st century programs and services across multiple Club sites within a defined region. The Regional General Manager is charged with developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to drive membership recruitment and retention, ensure program excellence, and strengthen the Club’s presence and partnerships within local communities. They will generate regional reports on programs, personnel, facilities, and operational functions, while overseeing site budgets, revenues/expenses, staffing, and general operations. As a critical member of the management team, the Regional General Manager provides leadership in operational excellence, community engagement, and staff development. They ensure consistency of standards across sites while supporting innovation and continuous improvement in alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in non-profit management, with at least three years in multi-site or regional leadership.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams, managing budgets, and overseeing facilities across multiple sites.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to build effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to track performance, analyze data, and use insights to inform decision making.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, tact, and initiative.
  • Proficiency in office-based computer programs and comfort with data and technology systems.
  • Good eyesight and hearing, constant standing, walking, sitting, stooping, grasping/motor dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to environment of safety through the learning and implementation and monitoring of all safety-related best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote accountability to safety through consistent observation, adherence to all safety rules and practices and proactive communication among members, parents, peers, and leadership.
  • Obtain and maintain Mandated Reporter training and complete annual Child Abuse Prevention training.
  • Complete training and participate in all Emergency Preparedness protocols including drills and communication practices.
  • Lead daily operations across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with organizational strategic priorities.
  • Establish and monitor systems that support consistent and high-quality program execution across the region.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) at the regional and site level to evaluate operational success.
  • Recommend regional operational adjustments to improve member outcomes and efficiency.
  • Oversee the implementation and evaluation of programs across sites, ensuring consistency and quality of delivery.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to roll out new programmatic initiatives across the region.
  • Support workflow alignment and operational troubleshooting to optimize program success.
  • Provide oversight of facilities across the region, ensuring maintenance, cleanliness, and readiness for programs and partnerships.
  • Coordinate with service providers and city partners to manage regional facility needs, emergency preparedness, and safety compliance.
  • Develop systems for effective scheduling and space utilization across multiple sites.
  • Oversee site budgets and regional financial performance.
  • Support revenue generation and fundraising efforts across communities served.
  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources, equipment, and technology to meet regional program demands.
  • Build and sustain meaningful relationships with school districts, municipalities, and community partners across the region.
  • Promote the visibility of the organization by sharing success stories, outcomes, and opportunities for partnership.
  • Actively represent the organization at community events, building advocacy for the Club’s mission.
  • Lead, coach, and support Unit Directors and site-level leaders to ensure consistency in program quality, safety, and culture.
  • Build a strong leadership pipeline across the region by mentoring high-potential staff and preparing them for expanded roles.
  • Promote a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability across teams.
  • Provide ongoing professional development opportunities to build capacity and drive excellence.
