About The Position

JLL is seeking a Regional Facilities Manager on a global client account within their Technology Division. The client is a multinational media, marketing, and corporate communications holding company. The role will encompass the Central NAM portfolio, leading an IFM team, and will be based at their downtown Chicago office. This position is responsible for leading the strategic transformation and operational excellence of a rapidly evolving, multi-tier commercial real estate portfolio across the central region. The successful candidate will serve as the strategic leader driving the implementation of a comprehensive target operating model across all tiers of assets, navigating complex organizational change and managing diverse creative workspace environments. The role demands a visionary leader who can execute strategic initiatives across an expanding regional footprint while developing high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7+ years of facilities management experience as a third party provider, corporate or as a consultant with some multi-site/regional exposure.
  • Minimum 7+ years of IFM people management experience with some multi-site/regional exposure.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills with experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate, HVAC, electricity, telecommunications, furniture and building energy management systems.
  • Supervise vendor performance during normal and off hours including weekends when necessary across various sites.
  • Accounting and budgeting experience with portfolio-level financial management.
  • Strong organizational and management skills with ability to prioritize across multiple locations.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the region (up to 50% travel expected).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Professional certifications such as FMP (Facility Management Professional), CFM (Certified Facility Manager), or similar credentials.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices, LEED standards, and energy management programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic implementation of our target operating model across a dynamic, multi-tier regional portfolio of creative advertising agencies, adapting operational frameworks to meet the unique requirements of each asset classification.
  • Drive organizational transformation initiatives that support portfolio expansion and consolidation, ensuring seamless integration of new creative agency properties into existing operational structures.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies that align diverse facility teams across all portfolio tiers with evolving client objectives and the dynamic needs of creative agencies serving global clients.
  • Proactively manage facility services across an expanding and consolidating regional portfolio of creative agencies, implementing scalable processes that accommodate growth and portfolio optimization.
  • Implement tier-specific operational strategies that optimize performance across different creative workspace environments while maintaining consistency in service delivery standards.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive operating and capital budgets across the multi-tier regional portfolio.
  • Lead strategic cost optimization initiatives that capitalize on regional scale and portfolio consolidation, identifying opportunities for cross-property efficiencies and vendor consolidation.
  • Execute financial planning processes that support portfolio evolution.
  • Build and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams capable of managing diverse creative agency environments and complex operational requirements across the regional portfolio.
  • Develop comprehensive talent development programs that prepare team members for evolving portfolio needs.
  • Implement leadership development initiatives that create succession planning across all levels of the regional organization.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement that drives operational excellence across all portfolio tiers.
  • Lead complex contract negotiations and vendor selection processes that support portfolio consolidation and operational excellence.
  • Implement performance management systems that ensure consistent service delivery across all portfolio assets regardless of tier or complexity.
  • Travel extensively throughout the region to provide hands-on leadership, strategic guidance, and operational oversight across all properties.
  • Serve as the primary regional liaison for complex client relationships, ensuring alignment between portfolio expansion and consolidation with client strategic objectives.
