Regional Engineering Manager, Facilities
About The Position
The Regional Engineering Manager designs and implements strategic operations programs, provides ongoing field technical support, and administers centralized operations activities. Working with an integrated facilities management and engineering team, the role supports high infrastructure availability and client satisfaction across the account portfolio. The manager develops and maintains strategic plans to promote consistency, innovation, and maintenance best practices while identifying and eliminating risks to client facilities. The role also oversees training programs and technical skills development for facility engineering personnel so the team can meet client and JLL expectations. The position is on-site in Huntington, Los Angeles, or Seal Beach, California.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
- 10 or more years of direct supervision of multi-site facilities operations.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems in commercial or critical facilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to oversee geographically dispersed engineering staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Experience implementing and managing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Familiarity with critical facility operations, including data centers or mission-critical environments.
- Experience with contract negotiation, vendor management, or strategic sourcing processes.
- Background developing and delivering technical training programs.
- Professional certifications such as CFM, CPMM, or similar facility or engineering credentials.
Responsibilities
- Support building operations through an integrated facilities management and engineering team to maintain infrastructure availability and client satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain a strategic plan for the engineering team focused on innovation and best practices, and create standard work for engineering activities.
- Ensure consistent maintenance management practices across the account portfolio and achieve Key Performance Indicators.
- Identify risks to client facilities and eliminate downtime.
- Implement and manage computerized maintenance management systems in accordance with JLL and client expectations.
- Oversee the JLL Client Assurance Program (JCAP).
- Develop training programs based on skills assessments and safety requirements.
- Administer technical skills assessments and technical training programs for facility engineering personnel.
- Assist Strategic Sourcing with bidding, negotiations, and administration of regional or national contracts for technical products or services.
