About The Position

University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects. Position Summary Temporary, MP Staff, Exempt, Full Time, Benefited position through 6/30/2027 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). Salary: $6,500-$8,166.67 per month. Location: CSUSB Campus. Position does require travel and work in various locations, campuses, schools and districts throughout the RIMS Region and California. Work Schedule Exempt. 40+ hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, Monday through Friday, including many Saturdays, some Sundays, and evenings. Requirements

Four-year degree in one or more of the arts disciplines (Dance, Music, Theatre, or Visual Arts).
Master’s degree or postgraduate degree (PhD or EdD) in education or one of the arts disciplines (MFA or PhD)
California Teaching Credential and five years teaching experience TK – 12 or five years postsecondary teaching experience
Working within the TCAP network as a Teacher Leader.
Academic preparation and teaching experience in one or more of the arts disciplines (Dance, Media Arts, Music, Theatre, Visual Arts).
Administrative or leadership experience with the skills necessary to work with university faculty, teachers, school and district administrators, and TCAP colleagues.
In developing, leading, and evaluating professional learning in the arts for TK- 12 or university educators in person and virtually.
In leading professional learning programs or coursework to increase content knowledge and pedagogical ability of teachers in the arts.
In fiscal oversight and managing budgets.
In supervising staff.
In ability to work in a collaborative team setting regionally and statewide in program advertising or marketing, including the use of social media tools, and particularly in the education community.
With Microsoft Office and MAC OS Required.
Knowledge of the California Subject Matter Project, The California Arts Project.
Knowledge of the RIMS CAP service region and its school districts/schools.
Knowledge of the professional learning needs of TK-12 teachers and administrators, specifically arts educators.
In-depth understanding of discipline-specific student arts literacy development and English Language Development.
Knowledge of the CA Education Code, specifically relating to arts education.
Knowledge of California credentials to teach arts education in the school setting.
Knowledge of assessment of student learning in the arts.
Knowledge of the four California arts education organizations.
Abilities to lead and pivot in ambiguous situations while staying on mission.
Proven leadership ability.
Strong collaboration skills including skill and conflict resolution.
Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Interpersonal skills involving teamwork and problem-solving
Leadership and interpersonal skills in working with adult learners, leaders, colleagues, office personnel, and K-12 administrators.

Responsibilities

Implement the vision and the goals of The California Arts Project by translating that vision and those goals to meet local needs
Develop a comprehensive program of professional learning and leadership in the arts for TK-16 educators within the site's region aligned with the CSMP and TCAP Goals, legislation, and mission.
Develop RIMS CAP response to CSMP requests for proposals.
Oversee the identification and development of the site’s Teacher Leaders to support the work of the site and TCAP Network.
Implement and evaluate the site’s programs, and recruitment of participants.
Expand, nurture, and maintain an active regional network of TCAP Teacher Leaders representative of all five arts disciplines.
Identify, recruit, and mentor educators who demonstrate capacities to teach, coach, and lead their colleagues in TCAP's professional learning programs and activities.
Direct the day-to-day administration of the regional site.
Communicate with the campus, TCAP network, the region's schools, districts, county offices of education, and other site partners about the site and TCAP's efforts, opportunities, and initiatives establish and maintain site and school/district partnerships to strengthen teacher professional competence and student achievement.
Respond to requests from teachers, administrators, other TK-16 educational organizations, TCAP Statewide Office, and the other Subject Matter Projects, in coordination with the TCAP Executive Director or other TCAP sites as appropriate.
Leverage funding in order to provide high quality professional learning programs in alignment with TCAP Guidelines and CSMP/TCAP Goals.
As a member of the statewide TCAP Leadership Team, collaborate with other Regional Directors, and the Executive Director, to ensure success of TCAP's statewide programs, initiatives, and developmental efforts.
Operate within the framework and program models of The California Arts Project (TCAP), the California Subject Matter Project (CSMP).
Attend TCAP Leadership Team meetings, Regional Directors' meetings, and programs online and in-person
Collaborate with TCAP Directors on a regular basis and participate in internal professional learning
Ensure that data collection and evaluation of the site’s programs are designed, organized, conducted, and that evaluations inform practice.
Ensure that the policies and practices of the California Subject Matter Projects and The California Arts Project are reflected in the site's operation and evaluation.
Share site evaluation efforts and results with the TCAP Executive Director and other TCAP Regional Directors
