About The Position

This role is for someone who deeply understands and feels the energy of pickleball, from packed courts to tournament days and the excitement of new players. The Regional Director of Pickleball Programming & Experience will lead the pickleball experience across Center Court clubs, establishing standards, developing teams, creating beloved programs, and ensuring clubs fulfill the mission to 'Grow the game of Pickleball and Inspire Our Members to Play for LIFE.' The role emphasizes building great clubs through strong communities and teams, focusing on vision, product development, process execution, performance measurement, and people development.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for pickleball and a desire to help others play for life.
  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience in pickleball, racquet sports, recreation, fitness, hospitality, or another member-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated success developing programming, events, and member experiences.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Financial fluency - comfortable with budgets, revenue, and performance metrics.
  • The ability to move between strategy and execution.
  • The presence and energy to engage members and teams across multiple locations.
  • A willingness to listen, learn, test new ideas, and continuously improve.
  • An unrelenting drive for excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Business, or a related field, or equivalent leadership and industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the Center Court pickleball experience and set standards for programming, community, and play.
  • Serve as a leader and ambassador for the Center Court pickleball community.
  • Establish consistent programming and experience standards across clubs.
  • Partner with club leadership and pickleball teams to understand community needs and create experiences.
  • Ensure programs, events, and interactions reflect the company's culture, values, and 'Built Together' philosophy.
  • Lead events, tournaments, and social experiences to bring communities together.
  • Develop industry-leading Open Play, leagues, clinics, lessons, tournaments, social play, and events.
  • Create a consistent programming philosophy while allowing clubs to adapt to local communities.
  • Keep programming fresh and relevant by listening to members and responding to trends and feedback.
  • Uphold high standards for courts, equipment, programming presentation, and player experience.
  • Partner with Marketing, Membership, and club leadership to drive awareness, participation, and brand engagement.
  • Develop short- and long-term programming strategies to support member experience and business growth.
  • Create standards and best practices for sharing successful programs across Center Court.
  • Build schedules that balance member demand, court capacity, programming needs, seasonality, and financial performance.
  • Utilize technology and reporting to understand participation, utilization, trends, and opportunities.
  • Continually evaluate program effectiveness and community desires.
  • Communicate program details and purpose to teams.
  • Create a pickleball experience that members want to share with friends.
  • Drive membership growth and retention through engaging programming.
  • Own key performance measures including participation, court utilization, member engagement, retention, satisfaction, and programming revenue.
  • Identify underperforming programs or clubs and collaborate with local teams to improve results.
  • Understand the financial impact of programming decisions and balance innovation with sustainability.
  • Test new ideas, measure results, and scale successful initiatives.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop pickleball professionals.
  • Build strong relationships with GMs, club leaders, and pickleball teams.
  • Create a culture of respect, support, empowerment, and accountability.
  • Be visible in clubs, on courts, and with members and teams.
  • Coach and provide tools for teams to achieve excellence.
  • Recognize great work and share successes and best practices.
  • Lead by example with energy, professionalism, and a love for the game.
