About The Position

Ecovyst is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Operations to lead multiple sulfur-based chemical manufacturing sites within our Sulfur Solutions business. This senior-level role provides strategic and operational leadership with an emphasis on safety, reliability, operational excellence, and people development. You will partner closely with site leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver results while building a strong, consistent operating culture across locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline (advanced degree a plus)
• 10+ years leadership experience in chemical or industrial manufacturing
• Proven experience leading multi-site operations
• Strong knowledge of process safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or reliability-focused improvement programs
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Willingness to travel regularly between sites (~30–40%)

Responsibilities

• Lead operational performance across multiple chemical manufacturing sites
• Drive safety excellence and regulatory compliance
• Partner with site leaders to deliver production, reliability, and cost targets
• Monitor and improve KPIs (safety, quality, throughput, cost, reliability, environmental)
• Support capital planning, investment prioritization, and execution
• Champion continuous improvement and operational standardization
• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing site leadership teams
• Collaborate with engineering, EH&S, supply chain, finance, and commercial teams
