About The Position
The Regional Director of Nursing (DON) (Medical) provides clinical, educational, and professional supervision for site DONs and support staff. The Regional DON works under the direction of the Program Manager/Vice President of Operations (VPO) and collaborates with medical leadership and other members of a multidisciplinary team in the correctional environment to improve the healthcare of incarcerated patients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment required.
- Must show or obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening.
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including a drug screen and criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree preferred.
- Progressive experience in nursing care, with a minimum of five years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Corrections, forensic, or criminal justice experience preferred.
