About The Position

The Regional Director of Inpatient Care Management is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining Care Management processes focused on achieving satisfactory patient outcomes across the assigned regional hospitals. The Director provides clinical and administrative direction to Inpatient Care Management staff and ensures services comply with regulatory requirements and Conditions of Participation, including standards related to Care Management and continuity of care and discharge planning.

The role provides education and training to Care Management personnel, clinical staff, and ancillary departments; oversees compliance and quality audits of direct care manager reports; and leads or represents Care Management at designated performance improvement meetings, community organizations, and external services. The Director monitors utilization and performance data, analyzes trends and variances, recommends practice changes, and reports to and participates in the Network Utilization Management Committee on behalf of assigned regional hospitals.

Requirements

• BSN or MSW required.
• If an RN, must maintain RN licensure in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Ensure services meet regulatory agency requirements and Conditions of Participation, including standards for Care Management and continuity of care/discharge planning.
• Provide direct clinical and administrative direction to Inpatient Care Management staff at assigned regional hospitals.
• Provide educational training for Care Management personnel, clinical staff, and ancillary departments.
• Oversee compliance and quality audits of direct care manager reports to evaluate workflow adherence, software use, documentation, and training needs.
• Provide Care Management leadership and representation at designated service line Performance Improvement meetings, community organizations, and external services for assigned hospitals.
• Monitor data, including variance and aggregate trend analyses, and recommend changes in practice.
• Report to and participate in the Network Utilization Management Committee representing assigned regional hospitals.
