Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Monroe and Carbon County
About The Position
Interim HealthCare Staffing is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide patient care in Monroe and/or Carbon County, Pennsylvania. The role offers flexible scheduling and a variety of assignments in medical offices, assisted living facilities, and patients’ homes. LPNs work under the supervision of an RN and collaborate with physicians, RNs, CNAs, and aides to deliver patient care. The position may be per diem or direct hire. Nurses are paid per visit and receive weekly pay. Interim HealthCare Staffing also offers online training, opportunities for growth, and the ability to earn continuing education units (CEUs).
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Active LPN license in Pennsylvania.
- CPR certification.
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency, critical-thinking skills, good communication skills, and compassion.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients with a variety of illnesses, injuries, and diseases in medical offices, assisted living facilities, and patient homes under RN supervision.
- Collaborate with physicians, RNs, CNAs, and aides to deliver patient care.
- Take patient vital signs, perform assessments, document progress, and report changes to the RN supervisor.
- Assist the RN with physician orders, patient care, and prescribed treatments.
- Administer medication, operate medical equipment, and maintain a safe environment.
