About The Position

Community Hospital Corporation (CHC) is seeking a Regional Director of Clinical and Regulatory Support for our Post-Acute hospitals. This leadership role is based out of our corporate headquarters in Plano and offers an outstanding work environment and a vibrant company culture. The role involves supporting clinical and quality initiatives, serving as an infection control specialist, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading mock surveys, and providing quality reporting oversight for owned, managed, and consulting facilities.

Requirements

  • BS in Nursing or equivalent degree is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of hospital clinical practice and five (5) years as CNO and or DQM.
  • Current unencucumbered licensure to practice nursing or related profession.
  • HCAP certification
  • Long-term Acute Care Experience Required
  • Must have physical mobility to travel up to 75% of work time.
  • The visual, hearing, and mobility acuity and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to drive at least 3 uninterrupted hours.
  • Ability to travel via airplane.
  • Requires physical coordination to use a keyboard or keypad on a regular basis.
  • Ability to conduct business by phone.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear, and vision to include close and distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently stands, walks, stoops and kneels.
  • May occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Mental stress due to high volume of workload and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to assist hospitals in enhancing a quality environment, positive clinical outcomes, operational productivity management, and a high level of patient, physician and employee satisfaction.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical, financial and operational data.
  • Participates with the VP of Clinical Services Post-Acute in the planning, scheduling, reporting, and action planning of mock surveys.
  • Proficient knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards and the ability to assist hospitals in meeting standards and prepare for surveys.
  • Proficient knowledge of CMS Quality Reporting requirements.
  • Proficient knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control practices.
  • Participates with the VP of Clinical Services Post-Acute in the development of documents and resources that support clinical, regulatory and quality initiatives for the owned, managed and consulting hospitals.
  • Actively participates in CNO and DQM development programs.
  • Communicates well verbally in both formal and informal formats.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from CHC corporate staff members, clinical and medical staff, Board members, facility leaders, and co-workers.
  • Works with people in such a manner as to build cooperation and group commitments to goals and objectives.
  • Assists with the identification of difficult operational and clinical care issues and promotes resolution thereof.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent project management, time management
  • Current driver’s license and good driving record

Nice To Haves

  • A Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Experience working with multi-site locations is highly desirable.
  • Experience as an infection control coordinator or specialist

Responsibilities

  • Supports clinical and quality initiatives for owned, managed, and consulting facilities by providing support to field CNO’s and DQMs.
  • Serves as the infection control specialist for post-acute services and is responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating a consistent approach to infection prevention and control.
  • Supports Regulatory compliance and provides regulatory support for owned, managed and consulting facilities.
  • Serves as a lead for mock surveys.
  • Serves in interim CNO and DQM roles as requested by the VP Clinical Services.
  • Provides Quality Reporting oversight focused on timely and accurate reporting.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by VP Clinical Services Post Acute.
