The Director will need to understand the issues impacting farmers, agriculture stakeholders, and rural communities, and build strategies for engaging a broad array of members, particularly uninvolved and new ones. This role also supports the creation of resources to help counties utilize organizational resources effectively, reduce volunteer burden, and build momentum through influence and credibility. Strengthening county leadership development, succession planning, volunteer engagement, member engagement, and local issue work are critical. The Director will identify recurring challenges and opportunities across counties to implement practical improvements in programs, tools, training, communication, and support systems. Additionally, this role serves as a connector between field operations, membership, communications, advocacy, and other statewide teams to ensure local needs are understood and supported.
