About The Position

Waste Pro is seeking an experienced Regional Controller to provide financial leadership and strategic business support across multiple operating divisions in Georgia and North Carolina. The role serves as the primary financial business partner to the Regional Vice President, Division Managers, and Corporate Leadership, providing insight to improve operational excellence and the region’s financial performance. This is a finance leadership position, not a traditional accounting role, and requires understanding of waste-industry operations, including route profitability, municipal and franchise agreements, fleet operations, disposal costs, capital planning, pricing strategies, acquisitions, and operational performance metrics. The Regional Controller oversees regional accounting and financial reporting, supports operating and capital planning, and partners with operational leaders to improve margins, reduce costs, and maximize profitability. The position also supports mergers and acquisitions, leads and develops regional accounting personnel, and identifies opportunities to improve processes, controls, and operational efficiency. Regular travel is required throughout North Carolina and Georgia, with periodic travel outside the region for corporate meetings and other events. The position requires the ability to travel 50%, primarily within the defined territory.
