About The Position

Capitol Distributing is hiring reliable Class A CDL Relief Drivers to support store deliveries across nine states. The position offers a consistent schedule and a career path in a growing company. Drivers cover local, shuttle, team, regional, and overnight routes. About 20% of the work is local, while the majority—approximately 80%—involves regional and overnight driving. The role requires flexibility and a positive attitude. The schedule is four to five days per week, with 10–12-hour shifts that may fall during the day, evening, or night. The position is full-time and based in Caldwell, Idaho. Compensation starts at $68,000–$73,000 per year, with opportunities for a $3,000 sign-on bonus and a $3,000 retention bonus after one year. Performance-based pay increases are also available.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
Clean driving record, with three or fewer points in the last 12 months.
Current DOT medical certificate.
Doubles endorsement, or ability to obtain one within 60 days.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, and weekends.
Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in hot and cold environments.

Responsibilities

Deliver groceries, beverages, and convenience items to stores across nine states.
Drive trailers carrying frozen, refrigerated, and dry goods.
Offload freight using a pallet jack, hand cart, and totes.
Track inventory using scanners and follow delivery logs.
Provide friendly, professional customer service.
Occasionally cover emergency routes.
Follow DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards.
