About The Position

Maverik is hiring a dependable, safety-focused Class A CDL driver to transport fuel to company locations across the West. The role offers consistent, year-round work and drivers are home daily. The position operates on a long-term PM shift, with start times between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, following a rotating schedule of five days on and two days off, followed by five days on and three days off. Shifts average 10–12 hours, with occasional longer days due to weather, traffic, or operational needs. Training may last up to 30 days and is typically conducted on the day shift before transitioning to the PM shift. The work takes place in a year-round, 24/7 operation and includes weekend, holiday, and all-weather driving, including winter conditions and chaining when necessary. Drivers use modern, well-maintained manual trucks and are expected to understand Samsara and slip/shared truck seating.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• At least 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience.
• Recent experience operating a manual transmission.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Clean motor vehicle record and a strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, background check, and road test in a 13–18-speed manual transmission truck.
• Understanding of Samsara and slip/shared truck seating.
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to sit for long periods and perform the physical activities described in the posting, including repetitive standing, walking, handling, horizontal reaching, and firm grasping; frequent overhead and below-waist reaching, button pushing, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing; and occasional lifting and carrying of 75–100 pounds.
• Close, distance, and color vision, as well as depth perception.
