About The Position
NEXT Logistics, LLC is the private fleet for Nelson-Jameson, Inc., a fourth-generation, family-owned distributor serving the food industry since 1947. We operate as a "Golden Rule" company, prioritizing honesty, integrity, and a culture that respects our drivers. We are looking for a dedicated Regional CDL Driver to join our team. This is a full-time position with a dedicated regional route, offering flexibility to meet your needs. You will be home weekends and out up to 3 nights per week. Requirements
- 1+ year(s) of semi-driving experience.
- Valid Class A CDL.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with weight scales, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
Nice To Haves
- HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements (we can assist you in obtaining these!).
Responsibilities
- On-time delivery to customers and branch locations via dedicated freight routes.
- Efficiently collecting stock from suppliers as needed.
- Staging and loading orders to optimize route efficiency.
- Professional handling of hazardous, perishable, and freezable goods.
- Maintaining accurate logs, mileage reports, and bills of lading.
