About The Position

Pediatric Nursing Specialists of Indiana (part of Home Care Network, Inc.) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Administrator (with occasional RN Supervisor/Case Management visits) to join our home health agency and direct the daily and ongoing business operations, clinical and care teams, compliance, and growth of our agency across the State of Indiana, based in/near Indianapolis, IN. This role requires physical presence in our Indianapolis office at least 3 days per week (Mon-Wed), located at 8580 Cedar Place Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46240. Typical RN Supervisor in-field activities and services and state survey requirement require travel within a 30-60 minute radius, and up to 2 hours occasionally / as needed (no overnights required). This is a full-time, salaried position requiring a blend of clinical, compliance, and business growth skills. Successful applicants will be interested in long-term employment with our agency. The typical daily travel radius <60 minutes, with occasional travel up to / beyond a 2-hour radius for relief, backup, and field staff training, and state-wide in the rare case of an emergency. Occasional travel to Ohio for in-person leadership, strategy, and other business management meetings (Typical = 1-2x/year,; Rare = up to 1x AVG per quarter maximum). Mileage reimbursement is provided. No overnight shifts required. Requirements

  • RN License in active and good standing in state of Indiana is required
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, with a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana.
  • Minimum of 2 years Nursing experience required, with a combination of acute care and home health care/public health preferred.
  • 1+ year of Supervisory / Team Management experience (of caregivers, nurses, and care team) is required, with health service administration a plus.
  • 1+ year of experience is required in a home health agency (or equivalent care environments); 2-5 years preferred.
  • CPR & First Aide Certification required; CPR & FA Instructor/Trainer certification desired (or willingness to complete once upon hire).
  • Strong background in nursing, patient care, and confidentiality.
  • Strong attendance and dependability track record with previous employers.
  • Desirable character traits: reliable, honest beyond reproach, professional, compassionate, detail-oriented (in care + documentation), accountable, friendly and accommodating, respectful, and positive.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Current Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to provide occasional on-call and varied / flex hour coverage (late night / weekend emergency) is required as needed.
  • Willingness to consent to a background check, including a criminal record check, and an employment and education verification.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team of RNs, LPNs, Home Health Aides, and Personal Care Assistants.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain field staff to meet client care needs.
  • Deliver effective orientation, ongoing education, and in-service training to ensure staff competency and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct skills assessments and performance evaluations for clinical staff.
  • Foster a cohesive, collaborative care team environment.
  • Perform client assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Promote continuity of safe, appropriate care through effective case management.
  • Coordinate and supervise the delivery of professional and supportive services to clients across all age groups (infant to geriatric).
  • Ensure timely communication of patient status and changes in condition to the care team.
  • Occasionally provide direct care, emergency support, or coverage in the field as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensure, Medicare certification, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and recommend policy updates to enhance service delivery.
  • Participate in corporate and regional strategic planning to support agency growth and service excellence.
  • Design and execute initiatives aligned with diagnosis-specific care needs and business goals.
  • Manage specialty payor programs in your region, ensuring quality and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage departmental budgets and monthly financials to meet strategic objectives.
  • Assist in the development of annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Oversee staffing and program coordination to optimize resource utilization and client satisfaction.
  • Facilitate effective communication among patients, families, physicians, and care teams.
  • Serve as a liaison to educate clients and families on available services and community resources.
  • Promote a culture of compassion, safety, and excellence in care delivery.
  • Acting in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, as well as basic principles and best practices of professional nurses, a successful Administrator / RN Supervisor ensures that patients receive the best medical care possible by overseeing their well-trained team of nurses and aides.
