About The Position

Publix is seeking a Refrigeration Technician 2 to support retail refrigeration operations. The role performs general rack refrigeration maintenance, routine refrigeration service for retail stores, and HVAC repair and maintenance. The technician evaluates and repairs HVACR systems and equipment in retail facilities, trains and mentors Refrigeration Technician 1s, maintains accurate parts inventory, and participates in special refrigeration projects and corporate project implementation. The candidate must live in Monroe or Miami-Dade County.

Requirements

Completion of HVAC or refrigeration trade school, or equivalent experience.
At least three years of refrigeration work in service or construction, or at least one year as a Refrigeration Technician 1.
At least 20 years old and possession of a valid driver license.
EPA Universal License.
Electrical circuit troubleshooting skills.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of EMS systems, such as Danfoss and Emerson.
Ability to lift, lower, climb ladders, and walk on roofs.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, on-call rotations, and travel with overnight stays.
Must live in Monroe or Miami-Dade County.

Nice To Haves

Five years of refrigeration work in service or construction, or two years as a Refrigeration Technician 1.
Knowledge of Publix standards and procedures.
SAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and perform HVACR repairs and general maintenance on refrigeration systems and equipment in the retail environment.
Train and mentor Refrigeration Technician 1s on servicing equipment.
Perform housekeeping duties, including maintaining accurate parts inventory.
Participate in special refrigeration projects for retail facilities and assist with implementing corporate projects.
