About The Position

Nestlé is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic for its Springville, Utah location. The position maintains and operates refrigeration, HVAC, and boiler systems in a large manufacturing environment, along with related plant and Thrift Store systems, buildings, and grounds. The technician will also serve on the emergency response team and complete annual CPR and first aid recertification. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

Be physically able to wear and use SCBA and canister-type breathing equipment.
Be able to use test equipment such as multimeters.
Obtain RETA Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) certification within one year.
Obtain RETA Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) certification within two years.

Nice To Haves

At least three years of experience operating and maintaining boilers and steam equipment.
Mechanical and electrical experience in conjunction with refrigeration or boiler experience.
Knowledge of safe practices for ammonia systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain, operate, and service refrigeration systems, including compressors, piping, valves, and related components.
Maintain, operate, and service compressed-air and vacuum systems, including compressors, vacuum pumps, piping, valves, and related components.
Maintain, operate, and service steam systems, including steam-generating equipment, piping, valves, and related components.
Maintain, operate, and service HVAC systems, including air-handling units and related components.
Maintain, operate, and service fire and security systems, including fire protection systems, CO2 and Halon systems, controls and detection systems, ammonia detection systems, and security gates.
Maintain, operate, and service utility systems, including backup fuel, natural gas, water, sewage, and high-voltage switchgear systems.
Maintain buildings and grounds, including building repairs, plant lighting, lawn irrigation, the cafeteria and its equipment, and the Thrift Store and its equipment.
Serve as a member of the emergency response team and complete annual CPR and first aid recertification.
