Refrigeration Maintenance - Harvest/Processing
About The Position
This position is responsible for operating and maintaining refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. General mechanics may work in any department within Processing or Harvest at the beef processing facility. Refrigeration maintenance crews work six days per week with two rotating days off. Schedules include Sundays and some major holidays. Qualifying candidates must take a tour before accepting a job offer. Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson are subject to a 180-day rehire waiting period and a three-time rehire limit.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of ammonia refrigeration or boiler room experience, or 12 months of mechanical work experience in lieu of refrigeration experience.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, reach, climb stairs and ladders, and lift up to 100 pounds.
- Must take a tour before accepting a job offer.
Nice To Haves
- Welding experience is preferred.
