Requirements

  • Understanding of HVAC / transport refrigeration.
  • Proven ability to manage both technical service teams and sales functions, customer relationship management, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, service documentation, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Understanding of hazardous materials handling, storage, and regulatory compliance; certification (e.g., HazMat, OSHA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office and service/sales management systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 years of leadership experience in service operations, sales, or both

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or certification in refrigeration, HVAC, or diesel systems preferred (EPA certification strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead Thermo King sales and service operations to achieve revenue, profitability, customer retention, and market growth objectives through fleet sales, service agreements, repairs, retrofits, aftermarket sales, and new business development.
  • Build and maintain strong customer, vendor, and business partner relationships while generating and converting sales opportunities through customer interactions, service activities, and operational touchpoints.
  • Oversee daily shop and field operations, including technician scheduling, labor allocation, workflow management, and coordination of parts, tools, and equipment to meet service demands and project timelines.
  • Monitor operational performance, service quality, turnaround times, customer satisfaction, and workflow efficiency, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity, profitability, and service delivery.
  • Drive operational and financial performance through Profit & Loss (P&L) management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, resource utilization, and risk management while ensuring accurate operational documentation and business records.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop sales and service team members by establishing performance expectations, promoting accountability, communicating operational priorities, and fostering a culture of customer service, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer concerns, ensuring timely resolution, effective communication, and a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain quality control standards by ensuring repairs, installations, maintenance, and service work are completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company expectations and manufacturer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, environmental regulations, and applicable industry standards, including the proper handling of refrigerants, tools, equipment, vehicles, and hazardous materials.
