About The Position

This HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic Foreman provides supervision, guidance, support, and limited administration to a group of HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanics throughout campus facilities.

Requirements

• Four years of experience or training in the installation and/or maintenance of heating, ventilating, or air conditioning systems

Responsibilities

• Oversees the total operation of the HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic, HVAC Refrigeration Master Mechanic and HVAC Control Technician
• Assigns and inspects the work of each individual craft
• Monitor and oversees adjustments made on all control meter instruments (heating and cooling units)
• Involved in making recommendations on the replacement or repairs on heating and cooling systems, including refrigeration equipment and its usage
• Prepares cost estimates of jobs according to labor and material requirements as needed
• Conducts safety meeting, order supplies, reads blueprints as needed and upon request, approves leave, monitors employee attendance, submit yearly planning’s and evaluations relative to employee’s work performance, etc.
• Performs other related work as directed or required
