About The Position

This role is responsible for managing patient referrals and ensuring they attend their appointments. The Referral Specialist will make referrals to specialty offices, fax patient information, and maintain work lists in the EMR. The position also involves running reports to track open referrals and following up on them. The Referral Specialist will report to the Referral Supervisor and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 3 years of medical experience

Responsibilities

• Make referrals to specialty offices

• Run reports to check for open referrals
• Ensure patients keep their referral appointments
• Maintain work lists in EMR in a timely manner
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the supervisor
