Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our Ambulatory Quality Team! We need someone with a professional demeanor who will provide great customer service to our patients, and is able to multitask! Under the direction of the clinic leader, the Referral Coordinator is responsible for facilitating referrals from assigned providers to other hospital providers, specialists, and outside facilities. This position is responsible for partnering with multiple insurance companies for authorizations, ensuring referrals are maintained in a timely manner, and sent to the appropriate provider. The Referral Coordinator will assist patients in the coordination of care and provide details to patients regarding the status of their referral to outside providers. This position maintains accurate records associated with the referrals and the processing of patient documentation. The Referrals Coordinator provides excellent customer service to callers on a multi-line phone system and returns voicemails to callers in a timely manner. This position projects a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of patients, coworkers, and the Northwest Specialty Hospital as appropriate. This Referrals Coordinator will require excellent customer service skills and communication skills. Works under stress and in situations that demand patience and tact while providing impeccable service. Other duties as assigned.
