About The Position
The Referral Coordinator acts as a liaison between pet owners, referring veterinarians (rDVMs), and DoveLewis’ Specialty departments. This role is tasked with coordinating appointments, managing medical record communications, and supporting a seamless client experience from check-in to discharge. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an eye for detail and organization, and a genuine love of animals and an appreciation for the human-animal bond.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced administrative, receptionist, or client service role
- At least 6 months of experience in an emergency or specialty veterinary setting
- Prior experience using veterinary practice management software required
Nice To Haves
- Veterinary assistant experience is a plus
- Any suitable combination of experience or education may substitute for the above.
