About The Position
Staunton Parks & Recreation is accepting applications for part-time Referees and Umpires for their adult Soccer and Softball leagues. These are official/referee positions in the Recreation Division of the Staunton Parks and Recreation Department. The individuals appointed to these positions will be required to referee or keep score at a variety of adult sports as needed (i.e. soccer, softball, etc.). Additionally, appointed employees will be required to assist office staff as needed and perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- A working knowledge of most sports (or the particular sport applicant is interested in, i.e. soccer, softball, etc.)
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working as a referee and/or umpire is highly desired.
- Experience and knowledge of the Staunton Parks and Recreation Department is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Referee or keep score at a variety of adult sports as needed (i.e. soccer, softball, etc.)
- Assist office staff as needed
- Perform other related duties as required
