Recycling Specialist - Pepsi - Sioux City

About The Position
The Recycling Specialist collects, verifies, loads, unloads, and empties recyclable beverage containers, and bales aluminum and PET containers for recycling. The role involves driving a scheduled route to redemption centers, documenting collected materials and reimbursements, unloading and sorting materials at the company recycling location, and maintaining the recycling shed. The position is scheduled from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license.
- Valid pallet jack and/or forklift certification, as needed.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to safely operate all material-handling equipment.
- Consistent adherence to safety procedures and guidelines.
- Working knowledge of applicable DOT regulations.
Responsibilities
- Drive to designated redemption centers along the scheduled route to collect recyclable materials.
- Count and verify collected bags and provide reimbursement documentation to redemption centers.
- Unload recyclable materials at the company’s recycling location.
- Sort and separate materials into appropriate containers for recycling.
- Bale aluminum cans and PET materials.
- Clean and maintain the interior and exterior areas of the recycling shed.
- Meet established productivity requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
