About The Position

PHASOR Engineering Inc. is a dynamic Alberta based company specializing in engineering, design, panel fabrication, and testing/commissioning of high voltage electrical facilities. Our focus is to incorporate the latest technological advances, such as IEC 61850, to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering. This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from conceptual engineering through to commissioning and startup. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Recruitment Specialist to join our team in a full-time permanent position to be based in our Mississauga office. If you are an excellent communicator and skilled problem-solver with strong attention to detail, we offer a dynamic work environment where you will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the testing and commissioning process.

Requirements

  • 3-4+ years of experience recruiting within Canada.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an extreme attention to detail are essential.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft office software suite of programs coupled with strong computer skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a wide variety of issues simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, risk assessment and problem-solving skills.
  • Background checks and Drug and Alcohol Pre-Access Testing may be required as part of employment.
  • 3-4+ years of recruitment experience in North America.
  • Bachelor's or Diploma in HR Administration or related education.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in utilities or construction sector is an asset.
  • Willing to do a bit of travel within Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Review information pertaining to new or rehired employees in both digital and hardcopy formats, ensuring all documents are complete and compliant.
  • Enter new information pertaining to employees, both digital and hardcopy into employee folders, including the creation of new employee folders and records as needed.
  • File and sort all employee files alphanumerically while verifying same employee (remove duplicates, move terminated employee files to inactive cabinet)
  • Arrange employee file contents by date
  • Responding to emails and employee HR related questions in a timely matter
  • Process termination forms, including terminating GWL benefits and MSP
  • Process employment letters
  • Assist in recruiting and staffing activities for the area of responsibility including; position requirements for posting, various job advertising methods, screening, interviewing and selection
  • Coordinate and facilitate the interview process
  • Respond to telephone inquiries, email, and website applications
  • Assist in job fairs and participation with university co-op programs (Travel Canada and the US will be included)
  • Build rapport with all department personnel
  • Support HR Team in implementation of corporate Human Resources programs and policies for the business-based research conducted on industry best practices and legislation
  • Administer documentation such as; letters of intent to employees, verification of employment letters and change to benefits
  • Act in a manner that demonstrates a desire to collaborate, share, and leverage best practices
  • Work collaboratively and assist other HR staff across Canada to identify and implement processes necessary to eliminate duplication and gain efficiency.
  • Provide basic HR advice to management on issues of policy and processes. Ensure to work closely with the HR Generalists or HR Manager to ensure accurate transfer of information.
