About The Position

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Human Resources, the Recruitment and Retention Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of all recruitment and retention activities across Dilico Anishinabek Family Care. The Recruitment & Retention Manager leads efforts to remove systemic barriers to employment, promote culturally safe and inclusive practices, and increase Indigenous workforce representation, while ensuring a respectful and supportive environment for all employees. The position oversees a team responsible for full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, workforce development, employee engagement, and retention. The Manager ensures all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, the collective agreement, and organizational policies, while using data and community engagement to guide continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in a human resources environment, with a focus on recruitment and retention
  • Required to work flexible hours, in relation to service requirements
  • A valid Class “G” Driver’s license
  • Access to a reliable personal vehicle
  • $1,000,000 liability vehicle insurance
  • Satisfactory criminal records check

Nice To Haves

  • CHRP designation or willingness to obtain
  • An individual who is of Anishinabe ancestry with understanding of Anishinabe history, culture, traditions, ceremonies, and values is preferred
  • Supervisory or management experience is considered an asset
