The Bowery Mission is a Christian, faith-based organization committed since the 1870s to serving people experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty. The Bowery Mission meets essential needs and creates transformative communities with men, women, children, and families in New York so that we can together overcome homelessness and poverty and flourish. The Recruiter is responsible for executing a full-cycle recruitment process that supports The Bowery Mission’s goals and strategic staffing needs. This position collaborates closely with hiring managers across all departments to ensure a consistent, efficient, and mission-aligned hiring experience. Primary responsibilities include sourcing and attracting qualified candidates, conducting initial screening interviews, and guiding candidates and hiring managers through each phase of the recruitment process, from drafting job postings to offer extension. The Recruiter also maintains recruitment data and contributes to ongoing improvements in hiring strategies and processes. This role is essential to building a talented and mission-driven workforce, identifying qualified individuals who are in alignment with the organization’s Statement of Faith.
