About The Position

Provide full life-cycle recruitment and hiring to support the Goodwill Columbus mission.

Requirements

  • One to three years minimum of experience in recruiting or human resources required.
  • Knowledge of employment laws to ensure all hiring practices are non-discriminatory and legally defensible.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of internet search engines.
  • Ability to perform extensive data entry into Goodwill’s Human Capital Management software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of management, applicants, and co-workers.
  • Ability to give and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions.
  • Ability to use good judgment and think quickly and rationally in difficult or stressful situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and assist with HR office needs as they arise.
  • Must be able to sit and communicate with candidates for extended periods of time.
  • Must have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work on computer, telephone, and related office equipment.
  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive sourcing strategy for each assigned department to ensure a regular flow of qualified applicants for Goodwill openings. Sourcing strategy will be reviewed and updated quarterly with leadership.
  • Partner with managers and workforce management to attain goals.
  • Works with HR Manager to review and update position descriptions on a continual basis.
  • Source, screen & refer high quality candidates along with coordination of interviews for career opportunities with Goodwill.
  • Provide recommendations or make final decision in the selection process. Coordinate job offers and hiring paperwork with candidates.
  • Maintain open communication and meet with assigned customer group to review expectations, recommend process improvements, and review current openings.
  • Adherence to best hiring practices including documentation of interview, candidate selection, and reference check(s) where required.
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of new hire paperwork and ensure that all pre-hire requirements are met and documented prior to start date.
  • Hold recruiting events, attend job fairs, and maintain a working relationship with Goodwill’s Workforce Development department.
  • Research and establish collaborative business partnerships
  • Meet or exceed established monthly recruiting goals.
  • Accurate and timely tracking of recruiting results. Tracking report is sent to stakeholders as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
